Christo Brock is a filmmaker and fine art photographer who grew up on a farm outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, and his Master’s Degree from USC School of Cinematic Arts. Christo’s films include the documentaries “Brewmance”, a film about home brewing and craft beer, and “Touch the Wall”, a film about female Olympic swimmers. While his films feature intricately woven personal stories, Christo’s photography focuses on the abstract and minimalist, and, though the evidence of humankind is always present, there are rarely people in his images. His work shows the influence of abstract painters Mark Rothko, Ellsworth Kelly, and Frank Stella, and the photographers Man Ray, Cole Thompson, and Andreas Gursky. Christo now lives in Long Beach, California with his family and cats. More on Christo’s work at christobrock.com
